Made a post like this before the massive cleanout.
Just as the title indicates, does anyone have any experience for punting in Perth? Never been there before and no idea what the scene is like.

It is not a punter's paradise. I suspect all the action is focused in the mining regions where fly in/fly out resource workers are serviced for top $$.
Much more worthwhile (in my opinion) to get down to Margaret River to enjoy the surf, wine and food.

although i can't provide numbers or addresses quite a few good shops in Perth .. most the good ones run by ex sydney chicken heads .. eg previous owner from 130 Botany Road ...
lots of ex Sydney workers there too ..
