Hello everyone,
In my country (UK) we don't use the word hookers and I just wanted to get an idea of how the term escorts and hookers differ from different countries around the world? What would you say the difference is between Hookers and Escorts are? In my country Escorts are seen as a professional and discreet service where you can book companionship with a woman. Thanks!

Pretty easy to explain the difference. There isn't any. Escort is simply a polite term for Hooker.

Re: Difference between Hookers and Escorts?
Probably goes back to the days when prostitution was illegal. Probably still is in many places.
Money couldn't change hands for sexual services, but the girl could advertise and accept payment to act as a companion for, say, dinner, show, tour guide, etc (and give you free sex afterwards)

I spose hookers had connotations of independent street workers, maybe black and us street girls, and escorts had connotations of independent girls described below. Most of the girls in australian shops are defined as "sex workers" in Australia which is term about as exciting as a wet rag. Either way we love em all.
