Wow, we got spammed by some really pissed off people. No idea who, or why. So much internet hate is simply lack of communication. I invite those angry birds to pm me so we can try to address the problem.

Meanwhile we've changed the rules a bit, in rare cases we might ring individual users to get their side of the story when trying to moderate some bun fight or another. Genuine punters are usually totally ok to have a chat or a beer, and we'd rather be doing that than worrying too much about the 1% of sad little trolls/spammers/haters.

I think there was a general cleanup a couple of months ago if my memory serves me correct. I am now back to bronze from gold after losing a lot of my posts.

You'd think there's not much point cleaning up a few megabytes of posts, many of which are still interesting or amusing for others.

Yes, I was disappointed a few years ago when they deleted the Tokyo Cats and Kyoto forums, costing me a number of posts as well as the pleasure of re-reading excellently written and descriptive reviews.
